The Need is High and the Support is Low.

Why does the NWA Center for Sexual Assault train trauma-informed advocates, hire and train SANE certified nurses, and conduct examinations in our own facility instead of leaving the victims to wait hours in the emergency room or conduct examinations over video?

Because it is important to begin the work of helping turn these victims of crime into survivors filled with hope. We don’t ask survivors to pay anything for our services which have traditionally been supported by VOCA funding. Unfortunately, federal funding has decreased by 67% beginning in October 1, 2025. Arkansas is among only 9 states that DO NOT award state funding to services for victims of crime - including sexual assault services. We are 1 of 2 centers across the state to conduct emergency exams with trauma-informed advocates and forensic nurses in our own facility. Without support from community members like you, our center faces a possible closure, leaving survivors to wait in the ER or receive no help at all.

Survivors need us. We can't let this happen.

(This and other national statistics can be found on the RAINN website.)

You know a survivor.  You may even be a survivor. Now is the time to take action - help us Fund Hope.

We need your help.

Our Beyond Survival, Fund Hope project ensures that ALL adult survivors of sexual violence in Northwest Arkansas will continue receiving the critical intervention and advocacy resources they need. By helping us raise $265,000 over the next 6 months, you can provide healing and hope to survivors of sexual assault in NWA.
