Bilingual (Spanish) Victim Service Advocate
This position requires direct, compassionate and confidential support to adult survivors of rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment, and their loved ones. (This includes taking some 24-hour hotline and on-call duties)
The NWA Center for Sexual Assault is seeking a Bilingual Spanish/English Victim Services Advocate - this is a full time staff position whose duties include: direct advocacy and support services for all adult survivors of sexual assault who seek services at the Center: creating and delivering presentations regarding Center services and issues surrounding sexual assault; and collaborating with our Spanish Speaking team to lead community outreach/education efforts to the Spanish Speaking community regarding supporting survivors of sexual assault.
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)
The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim (pediatric, adolescent and adult). This will include a forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, as well as support and participation in legal proceedings. The SANE is expected to follow protocols established by the Medical Director(s) and/or management of the NWA Forensic Nurse Team. Services will be provided in partnership with Mercy Health System for the Northwest Arkansas Center for Sexual Assault, Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County and The Children’s Safety Center of Washington County at each of their respective locations and in the hospital setting.
